Cohabitation Disputes

Acting on your instructions; getting the best results

What Rights Do I Have?

Cohabiting means you do not share the same rights as a legally married couple, but there are protections, safe-guards and a certain number of rights for cohabiting couples.  We can help you with advice on what those rights are and help you put together legal agreements on specific aspects of your cohabitation, such as home-ownership and wills.

We can also help with rights and obligations relating to Parental Responsibility and contact with children following a separation.

We can advise you on specific differences in the law between married and unmarried partners related to issues such as inheritance tax, debts and ending the relationship.

We offer considerable experience in all these areas of Family Law and are well placed to advise on them.  Our Family Law specialist can be depended on to act knowledgably and sensitively in all cases.
