Dismissal and Discrimination

Protecting your professional rights, relationships & reputation

Are you an employee with a dispute of some sort against your Employer?  Employment Rights and obligations are a minefield and you may need legal advice on your situation.

Disciplinary Action & Dismissal

It may be that you are currently subject to disciplinary proceedings and are worried whether these could result in termination and how you should approach matters. It is worth getting legal advice at this early stage, if only to speak to us on the telephone. At this stage, there is still the chance of saving your employment or securing the best possible settlement, so we will help you limit the damage and protect your position to the best degree. We will concentrate on what you hope to secure and try to help you achieve that outcome.

Perhaps matters with your Employer have progressed such that you have been dismissed and you feel unfairly. We can assist and advise you in whether you have a claim against your Employer and if so how to pursue it. There are strict time limits so you cannot afford to delay. Contact us to seek independent legal advice straight away and we will guide you through the options.

In Dispute

You may have a dispute whilst in employment with the way you are being treated, your wages or other employment related matters. You may be unsure how to go about raising this and require advice and assistance. Again, contact us and we will be able to look at the options with you and assist you in pursuing the one that is best for you.

Discrimination

You may feel that you are being discriminated against on unlawful grounds. Employers are under a duty to treat everyone fairly and equally regardless of individual characteristics. There are complex legal principles and advice is crucial. If you feel that you are being discriminated against then seek advice and again we will assist you in looking at whether you have a claim and how it could best be pursued.

In certain employment disputes, we may be able to act for you on a Contingency Fee basis which is effectively a No Win No Fee basis where if you do not win your case and do not receive any compensation then you will not need to pay us, but if you do win your case, the costs would be deducted from any compensation you receive. This may make pursuing an employment claim affordable for you.

The Bigger Picture

At Parnalls, we have the experience to look at the bigger picture for you in your employment situation. Sometimes it is best not to enter into a dispute or continue a dispute with your employers but to preserve the employment relationship. We would not advise you to enter into a dispute if it was not in your best interests to do so, but if a dispute is inevitable, we will fight your corner as hard as we can.

For all aspects of employment disputes, contact us.
