I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, our staff, our clients, fellow professionals and our friends. We have had a great run up to Christmas in every way.
Starting with our amazing Christmas Party which is always a high point, and a great celebration, but then enjoying so many other meaningful festive celebrations, our tree at St Mary’s, our office tree, Christmas quizzes, Secret Santa, our Christmas film, Christmas jumpers and raising money for ‘Young People Cornwall and our wonderful Christmas Elf and his sidekick Milo 2.
There really has been something for everyone I hope. Not everyone feels this time of year, and I understand that. It is a mixed bag, and there are a lot of stresses involved, and not everyone thinks of it as a happy time. But I always draw on Dickens, and his portrayal of Victorian hospitality and Christmas spirit. Because the most valuable thing, for me, from this time of year, is that it ignites in many of us the desire to spread good cheer to others. That is the Christmas spirit, and it comes when you least expect it and in many forms, some of which one can hardly recognise, but are there, nevertheless.
