Katherine Flashman Kitson says “I am a woman, a daughter, one of three sisters and a mother of three daughters. Womanhood has its challenges and I am keenly aware that many women face far greater challenges than me, in some cases every day of their lives. For me, I am happy and grateful that I am a woman, and surrounded by so many other wonderful women in my life, from the past, in the present and going into the future. We are all different, but that is a reason to celebrate and unite, not to divide. It is important we celebrate women, and indeed celebrate all sections of society, as we are all important”.
