Parnalls Solicitors Benedicte Holtan acted as Referee at the AP (Adam Peaty) Race Event in Plymouth at the weekend. The AP Race Clinic travel all over the UK to encourage and support the next generation of young promising swimmers, who have one goal in mind, to reach the Olympic Games. Adam Peaty started the Race Clinic in 2019, teaching young swimmers how to race. They were thrilled to have Olympic Champion James Guy with them for the Event who came down with the Team. James has won multiple gold medals at each of the major international meets including for Great Britain at the Olympic Games (2) the World (5) and European Championships (7) and England in the Commonwealth Games (2) and soon to be completing at the Olympic Games in Paris as his next event.
Benedicte’s son competed in the 50m freestyle and 50m breast stroke and managed a good PB in both events. Benedicte says her son “found James inspiring, natural, helpful and knowledgeable within the sport of swimming, and for her it was a pleasure and a privilege acting as Referee and a weekend to remember”. Good luck to all of the athletes competing at the Olympics Games, but especially our swimmers and James Guy and Adam Peaty in Paris this summer.
