Katherine Flashman Kitson attending Keble Alumni Ed Balls and Paul Johnson Lecture

Parnalls solicitors Katherine Flashman Kitson attended a lecture at Keble College Oxford given by two Keble Alumni Ed Balls and Paul Johnson on the current political scene. Ed Balls is a British Broadcaster, Economist and former Politician. He served as Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer and was MP for Normanton and later Morley and Outwood; he was then Adviser to Shadow Chancellor Gordon Brown in 1994 continuing the role after Labour won the 1997 General Election and eventually becoming Chief Economic Adviser to the Treasury. Paul Johnson is a British Economist serving as a Director for the Institute of Fiscal Studies until this year, he is a columnist for The Times and now provost of The Queen’s College, Oxford.
Katherine says “My time at Keble overlapped Ed and Paul as well as some other very fine minds. Great fun to hear the banter between them at a lecture in College, giving great insights into the current political climate and how the present government might move forward on economic issues”
