Parnalls Solicitors Katherine Flashman Kitson flew in a glider with Gavin Short at Dartmoor Gliding Society. Katherine says “here at Parnalls we have a wonderful aviation history, both from a family point of view and with the Parnall Group renovation of the St Ives Spitfire, so we are always keen on all things aviator. I attended the Dartmoor Gliding Society with Stephen Robillard who also has his Pilots Licence as well as his Solicitors Practising Certificate (we are multi skilled) for an absolutely amazing day of gliding with Gavin Short. Gliding is a wonderful experience, as close I think to being a bird as you can be. Although I had some trepidation at first, once I got into the air, it was beautiful and the fact that we could hold a normal conversation whilst flying through the air was surreal. Steve and I intend on continuing gliding, Steve to get his Pilots Licence, me probably as a happy passenger, but how wonderful to see our beautiful countryside, through the canopy of this flying machine”.
