What is a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)?
A Lasting Power of Attorney (abbreviated to “LPA”) is a legal document which allows you to appoint attorneys to make decisions for you, should you be unable to do so for yourself in the future.
Types of Lasting Power of Attorney
Property and Financial Decisions
You can appoint attorneys to make decisions on your behalf in regard to your financial matters and your property. Your attorneys will have authority to operate your bank accounts and investments and make decisions for you on a day to day basis when you can no longer do so for yourself.
Health and Care Decisions
This is a separate document which allows you to appoint attorneys to make decisions only when you lack mental capacity concerning such matters as medical treatment and care decisions. When you lack capacity this type of LPA permits your attorneys to make decision about for example where you should live and how any care is managed.
We offer a competitive charging structure for Lasting Powers of Attorney and our charges include a complete service, certificate provider, registration and free storage in our strong room for safe keeping and there are no hidden extras;
For a single LPA £495.00 plus VAT
For both types of LPA £895.00 plus VAT
If a couple wish to do both types of LPA (four in total) £1595.00 plus VAT
We offer a discount on the above prices if you make a Will with us at the same time
In addition you need to add on the court registration fee for each LPA of £82.00
